Lantal is a leader in the design, production and distribution of textiles and services for the international community of aircraft operators. With coherent, all-in-one solutions, Lantal offers forward-looking counsel in the domains of style, design and completion. The company’s underlying objective is to provide the ultimate in well-being for passengers.
Lantal specialises in planning and designing atmospheric interiors for aircraft, based on textiles that are either customised or picked from the shelf. The company’s products include fabrics for seat covers, headrests and curtains, as well as carpets, wall coverings, leathers and weight-saving pneumatic cushions. These, together with ready-to-install products, such as pre-cut carpets and pleated curtains, ensure Lantal can serve its customers with all-in-one solutions.
Lantal assists its clients in projecting their corporate identity in surprising and stunning ways. No matter how vague or precise clients’ ideas are, the company can quickly convert them into conceptual presentations, even with 3D walkthrough simulations if applicable.
Lantal’s in-house laboratories routinely test flammability (for example, seat cushion testing), toxicity, smoke generation and many other parameters. As a production organisation operating according to EASA regulations Part 21, Subpart G, Lantal is able to provide an EASA Form One with each delivery of ready-made parts. Its test facilities are also available to third parties.
One of Lantal’s most exciting products is its pneumatic comfort system, which replaces conventional foams with air, and is designed to set new standards in passenger comfort and have a direct impact on airlines’ profitability. Lantal offers this technology for first- and business-class seats, and mattresses for private jets and crew rests. The company’s next step will be integrating the technology into economy-class seats.
Founded in 1886 and headquartered in Langenthal, Switzerland, Lantal operates three domestic production sites, as well as one in the USA. Sales offices are located in Switzerland, France and the USA.
