Oman Air begins roll-out of new routes and onboard products
Starting this month, Oman Air begins to roll out its programme of new European routes and new onboard products. It is introducing new economy-, business- and first-class cabins on its non-stop daily London Heathrow/Muscat route.
The airline will debut its Muscat to Frankfurt route (with four return flights a week) from September. Three return flights a week between Muscat and Munich will commence in October. Four return flights a week between Muscat and Paris, Charles De Gaulle will also be introduced from October. In addition, October will see Oman Air launch routes to the Maldives and Sri Lanka.
The new economy-, business- and first-class cabins will follow, fitted to new A330 aircraft flying between Muscat and London. Economy-class seats will be larger and more comfortable than their predecessors and will feature individual 10in in-flight entertainment (IFE) screens. The new business-class seat (pictured) converts into a 180° lie-flat bed, and will be fitted in a 1-2-1 configuration, ensuring every passenger has aisle access. The business-class cabin will also feature 17in IFE screens. Oman Air’s new first-class product has yet to be unveiled. All three cabins will offer full connectivity and be WiFi enabled.
