Gama Engineering gains further EASA approval
Gama Engineering Ltd has achieved EASA Part 21G manufacturing approval. This adds to Gama’s existing EASA Part 21J Design and Part 21M Continued Airworthiness Management Services accreditations, enabling customers to utilise these services all from one EASA-approved supplier and one location, at Fairoaks Airport in the UK.
The formation of Gama Engineering Ltd in late 2011 at Fairoaks Airport, near London Heathrow, joined together the combined expertise of both Lees Avionics and Mann Aviation Group Engineering (MAGE).
Gama Engineering provides a turnkey solution in designing, manufacturing, certifying and installing interior units and parts for aircraft manufacturers, leading corporate aviation operators and airlines.
“Gama’s success in achieving EASA Part 21G manufacturing approval means that we can offer an improved service to our customers. We now have all three key EASA accreditations all under one roof, at our Fairoaks facility, ensuring our clients can benefit from a full range of essential engineering support services.” said Harry Lees, Gama Engineering's managing director.
Gama Engineering manufactures a range of specialist items for a number of aviation clients. These range from specialist wiring harnesses for regional airline Aurigny, special mission camera pods and mounts for Thales for use on-board helicopters employed in surveying activities, through to avionic upgrade kits for operators of corporate jets.
One of Gama Engineering’s most recent products, the Gama Infant Safety Seat, was premiered at the recent Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg where the company reported "significant interest". This child seat is already in service with both Cathay Pacific and Virgin Atlantic Airlines.
