Contour chosen to refurbish BA's Club World
British Airways has signed up UK-based Contour Aerospace to refurbish the Club World ‘Dusk Seats’ and cabin interior side walls of its fleet of 767s.
The repair and refurbishment of sidewall panels is a new item in Contour's portfolio, a task which the company states it can complete in a turnaround time of just 10 days to coincide with each aircraft’s maintenance schedule.
The first refurbished 767 has been completed and has just entered into service.
Carl Bullock, director of services at Contour said: “We are delivering a high quality refurbishment service for British Airways and are thrilled that Contour was chosen for this prestigious programme.”
Drew Crawley, British Airways’ commercial director, added: “Our refurbished B767s, with their spacious, stylish contemporary cabins now provide a far more comfortable travelling experience.”
“Over the next five years British Airways will be investing more than £5 billion in new aircraft, smarter cabins, elegant lounges, and new technologies to make life more comfortable in the air and on the ground.”
