Business upgrades at Air Europa
Air Europa has signed a new contract with AFI KLM E&M to provide and certify Business Class sections on two of its Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The modification covers fitting of 18 business class seats, new storage furniture and decorative features, and also involves adapting the IFE to the new aircraft configuration.
The modification will be certified in an AFSB (Air France Service Bulletin) and is scheduled for completion with EASA approval by the end of June. Air Europa will oversee the actual work in its hangars at Palma Majorca, with AFI KLM E&M team providing full on-site support. The contract should be completed in October.
Fabrice Defrance, AFI KLM E&M's senior commercial vice president, stated, "This contract consolidates a trust-based relationship between Air Europa and AFI KLM E&M in the cabin modifications space. We are very pleased with the continuous nature of our commercial relationship with Air Europa – a client that is seeing strong growth and which is developing business class products on a par with the best international airlines."
