Western Aircraft, Inc., has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Interior Service Manager to manage technicians, equipment, and other resources needed to complete individual corporate aircraft interior and exterior projects by bringing together cabinetry, carpet, soft goods, exterior paint and finish, and detailing as described in a work scope or package.
The Interiors Manager is responsible for managing technicians, equipment, and other resources needed to complete individual corporate aircraft interior projects and orchestrate the interior completion to include bringing together cabinetry, carpet, soft goods completions, exterior paint and finish, and detailing as described in a work scope or package.
In Addition, this Manager will oversee the cabinet, composite, soft goods refurbishment (Completions Department), exterior paint and finish, and detailing activities under the Repair Station guidelines, and be responsible for budgeting, bidding / forecasting project requirements to ensure quality standards are met and profitability of the department is maintained. Candidates must have strong leadership skills that support rapid growth in a fast-paced environment.
Job DutiesLead team to complete all aspects of work scope to include cabinetry, carpet, and soft goods
Ensures all managed activities comply with the Repair Station Manual
Interact and obtains customer approvals for work to be performed (post sale)
Able to write manuals, identify procedures, and document written instructions to formalize a quality work environment in a fast paced rapidly growing company
Directs cross training and cross utilization efforts with other Aircraft Service Departments
Ensures company safety and quality standards are met
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
Experience5 years’ experience with corporate (VIP) interior completions
Minimum 3 years’ leadership experience in an interior or completion shop
Thorough knowledge of aircraft interior completion, production and manufacturing operations
Familiarity with the industry vendors, regulations and current procedures for completing interiors on a timely and competitive basis
Must be able to read, understand and utilize blueprints in a fabrication business
Experienced in aircraft structure – sheet metal
Experienced in interior install including removing and replacing interior components
Experience with paint, wood finishing, and soft goods preferred
Strong customer service skills
Able to rationalize and justify capital expenditures, budgets, business plans
Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Aviation preferred or equivalent working experience in Aviation Interiors
