November 14, 2016 – Following the fitment of the Andromeda reclining business class seat from Aviointeriors in 2015, Italian charter airline Blue Panorama has ordered a customized version as a crew rest seat for its B767s. Italian airline Meridiana has also ordered this model for use as a crew rest seat.

The Andromeda seat will be fully compliant with CS FTL.1.205 (C) Flight Duty Period (FDP) regulations ‘Class 2 rest facility’. This means a seat in an aircraft cabin that reclines at least a 45° back angle to the vertical, has at least a pitch of 55in (137.5cm), a seat width of at least 20in (50 m) and provides leg and foot support.
