Senior buyers from the aviation industry are expected to converge in Los Angeles this September for the return of Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX). A new attraction at the cabin interiors industry event this year is the launch of AIX Connect, a buyer programme. The programme is designed to help qualified buyers from OEMs, airlines and tier 1 suppliers to meet up with relevant exhibitors at the show to build business connections and discuss projects.

Participating exhibitors will be paired with procurement teams from seating manufacturers and OEMs such as Airbus, Bombardier, Molon Labe and Zodiac Aerospace and key airline buyers to discuss business opportunities at the show. The programme will offer airline buyers the chance to benefit from increased networking opportunities while exhibitors enjoy business connections matched to their product offering.

Exhibiting companies in the field of seating manufacturing, flooring supply, fasteners, air conditioning systems and lighting/LED equipment who are looking to build their business with airlines will be invited to participate.

As AIX event director, Polly Magraw stated, “Networking is at the heart of our fall event – the sister exhibition to Hamburg’s spring AIX. As a truly international showcase for the aviation industry, not only will the event continue to support the evolution of the cabin interiors industry by promoting innovation, we will also facilitate business opportunities with leading airlines, OEMs and tier one suppliers.

“Our VIP guests will find a wealth of inspiring new products and essential business connections that they need to give them the competitive edge in the competitive aviation industry, while our exhibitors will be introduced to key buyers and decision-makers that they need to take their business to the next level.”

The cabin of the future

In addition to networking opportunities, attendees can meet with exhibitors showcasing the latest cabin innovations including Diehl Aviation, which will show its Air Refrigeration Unit (ARU), InnoLite Toiler Assembly and Space Optimised Lavatory. Tapis Corporation will present durable fabrics that meet requirements for commercial, corporate and VIP aircraft without sacrificing design needs. Botany Weaving Mill will reveal its range of aircraft seat fabrics, carpets and curtain fabrics. In addition, Aerofoam Industries, Isovolta, STS Aviation Group, Diab, Wencor Group and AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings are also confirmed to exhibit.

Attendees can also learn more about the trends and challenges shaping the aviation sector from passenger experience experts when the CabinSpace LIVE Seminar Theatre returns. A host of industry experts will come together to share insights into the most prevalent trends impacting the cabin interiors industry, from designing premium economy cabins and the next innovations in seating and materials, to creating a state-of-the-art space onboard. A full programme of speakers and session titles will be announced in the coming weeks.

Aircraft Interiors Expo will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Centre in California, USA on 10-12 September 2019. The event will be co-located with APEX Expo and IFSA Expo, enabling attendees to experience a range of aircraft interiors products and passenger services in one location, bringing together more than 3,500 qualified industry professionals.
