HAECO achieves FAA TSO for Vector Light seat

0

HAECO Cabin Solutions has obtained FAA Technical Standard Order (TSO) certification for its Vector Light seat, the newest model in its Vector range of aircraft seating. As its name would suggest, Vector Light is a lightweight seat (7.9kg per fully equipped seat), and it is optimised for single-aisle aircraft, with options of recliner or fixed-recline versions.

The low weight is achieved through the use of advanced materials such as titanium, and flexible, slotted body-contouring carbon fibre. The seat has been designed to maximise available cabin space and to enhance passenger comfort through sound ergonomics. HAECO Cabin Solutions claims that Vector Light offers ‘industry leading’ living space at a narrow seat pitch, with low maintenance requirements to reduce total costs of ownership.

The company expects to begin delivering Vector Light to customers in Q4 2021, according to Doug Rasmussen, president and group director of HAECO Cabin Solutions.
