Lufthansa Group extends deal for Geven’s Essenza seat

In 2018 Lufthansa Group opted for Geven’s Essenza seat as the line-fit seating model for its Airbus A320 and A321neo aircraft flying with group carriers, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, and SWISS. The deal has now been extended, with 23 shipsets of Essenza being retrofitted on the Airbus fleet of Lufthansa Group’s low-cost subsidiary, Eurowings.

“We are especially proud of the punctuality with which the stringent Eurowings delivery schedule is being met – 23 ship sets, all at a rhythm of two per week between April and July of this year. Geven has a record of 100% on-time delivery, which we mean to keep unblemished,” stated Alberto Veneruso, managing director of Geven.

The seat has received some customisation work for Eurowings, with a seatback device holder, coat hook, custom literature and amenity pockets, extra-comfort bottom cushions, with the airline’s branding expressed through the light and dark grey fabric dress covers, finished with an accent of violet-red on the backrest.
