June 21, 2017 – Finaero’s interiors division, AIP, has achieved EASA Part 21J certification, enabling it to certify its own designs. AIP already holds Part 21G (FR.21G.0065) and Part 145 (FR.145.546) certifications.

AIP also recently acquired SMTC, a French train interior specialist, enabling it to extend its offering to the railway market and bolster its production capacity for the aircraft market.

Other changes recently made by Finaero include the organization of its painting and sealing division, STTS, into five divisions. An investment of €60m (US$67m) has been made into three new paint hangars in Toulouse, France. Meanwhile, there are now operations in the USA in Portland, Oregon, and a new A380 and VIP paint hangar at Dubai South airport.

Expansion is also on the cards for Finaero’s electric division, CIEE – both at its existing cable and wire assembly factory in Thailand, and with the launch of operations in the USA.
