AkzoNobel swears in Swearingin as head of aerospace coatings

AkzoNobelthe international paints and coatings company, has promoted Tami Swearingin to the position of global segment director of aerospace coatings. She joined AkzoNobel in 2015 as a sales director for aerospace coatings in the Americas and has more than 20 years of experience in business management, sales and marketing, and market development in the aerospace and industrial markets.

Swearingin is replacing John Griffin, who becomes AkzoNobel’s Regional Commercial Director for Automotive and Specialty Coatings in North America, in addition to his regional director role for North America.

“I have worked closely with Tami since she first joined us, and I couldn’t think of a better person to take on this role,” said Griffin. “Tami has shown extraordinary leadership of our aerospace sales team, and this promotion rightfully recognises her contributions to our business. I am confident that Tami will successfully lead our aerospace business through this global pandemic crisis and enhance our market-leading position in the industry.”
