AVIC Cabin Systems UK is poised for new orders

Notable projects by ACS UK include the Emirates Lounge

AVIC Cabin Systems (UK) (ACS UK) has announced that its order book is open and it is now offering its full range of aircraft interior products, which includes everything from social spaces and galleys, to front-row monuments, feature panels and stowages.

The back story is that ACS UK had a full order book in 2022, and in June of that year the company took a strategic decision to reduce its offerings to new business in order to focus upon the delivery of the programmes it acquired from AIM Altitude. Those orders have since been successfully delivered (and customer confidence fully maintained, says the company), so ACS UK is now fully open and ready to sign up new business.

Nigel McSorely, CEO of ACS UK, explained: “We have been quietly but busily working in the background to safeguard future product offerings, and several key programmes are already underway. Our ethos and focus on customer satisfaction and the delivery of high-quality equipment using highly skilled people continues. We have seen exceptional on-time delivery performance of world-class products to Airbus and Boeing over the past few years. We are very proud of this achievement.”

Additional capacity

ACS UK has been working on large orders of front-row monuments, galleys and social zones for pre-existing customers. Now that many of these products have been delivered, ACS UK is able to offer much-needed additional capacity to the market.

McSorely commented: “The advantage ACS UK has is that we are new, but not new. We have the facilities and capacity of a new company, with the experience and expertise of an industry stalwart. ACS UK has a great depth of knowledge and skill, but also the ability to grow and take on significant new contracts.”

ACS UK has been developing and manufacturing products from its engineering facility in Bournemouth UK, its design base in New Zealand, and its manufacturing bases in Cambridge, UK and China.
