Emerging new European airlines sign for connectivity

April 4, 2017 – Following a successful trial, Groupe Dubreuil airlines Air Caraïbes and its sister carrier French Blue, France’s first low-cost, long-haul airline, have appointed SITAONAIR to enable next-gen inflight connectivity across their fleets. The airlines have opted for SITAONAIR’s Internet ONAIR package and GX Aviation’s high-speed broadband network, and will become SITAONAIR’s first European customers to adopt GX Aviation.

With Internet ONAIR, the airlines will be able to offer a personalized, interactive internet connection, akin to a public hotspot on the ground. Its advertising platform also supports a top priority for French Blue – of creating tailored offers for passengers, as with its current live SKYDeals online shopping promotion, and generating revenue through advertising.

With its iZivision portal, supported by the high-speed broadband connectivity over GX Aviation, Air Caraïbes will offer passengers free services like postcards and selfies to share with their friends and family, as well as position-sharing during the flight.
