December 8, 2015 – Bruce Aerospace has obtained both FAA and EASA STC for the full-color LED cabin mood lighting system being installed on Swiss International Air Lines’ A330-300 fleet.

The system can operate independently in five cabin zones, controlled by cabin crew via the MLCP (mood lighting control panel), with a number of pre-set customized scenarios available.

According to Bruce Aerospace, the LEDs have a life of over 60,000 hours, meaning the airline will save costs on labor and materials for lamp replacement, not to mention savings on power consumption and the disposal of ‘hazardous lamps’. The system was installed by SR Technics.
