Wire strike system to remove locker rattles

March 22, 2016 – The STAG Group Aircraft Interiors Division has announced that it will be launching the Actron adjustable wire and bumper stop range to the European aerospace market during Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg in April.

According to STAG, the range is designed to reduce installation time and allow for easy maintenance re-alignment, with a number of configurations available to complement a wide variety of styles and sizes of latch, including those with single or double bolt designs. The product can be top- or side-mounted, and low-profile models are available. Alongside a standard range, customizable wire designs are also available.

Commenting on the new product, Ian Andrew, senior business development manager for interiors at STAG Group said: “This is the only fast adjusting product currently on the market. The Actron product will clearly interest OEMs, but its ease of maintenance benefits ensure that it will also appeal to the MRO industry.

“Annoying rattles caused by latch mis-alignment can easily be stopped in a fraction of the time taken to adjust a conventional latch system. The time taken to adjust and test a drawer is now dramatically reduced – a process that typically takes 10-15 minutes to complete, can now potentially be achieved in less than two minutes.”
