Airbus approves HAECO seating for line-fit catalog

Following evaluation of HAECO Cabin Solutions’ production, quality and delivery standards, Airbus has approved the company as an offerable supplier for passenger seating. HAECO’s Vector economy seat model now enters the A350 aircraft catalog for line-fit selection, and the two companies have also launched the offerability process for the Vector economy seat model on A320 family aircraft, and Vector Premium for the A320 and A350 XWB families.

It would seem that the Vector is a good fit for the A320, as HAECO Cabin Solutions has also announced that it has secured a launch customer for line-fit A320 series seating with a “sizeable” carrier in Asia.

Back in March, HAECO Cabin Solutions achieved FAA Technical Standard Order (TSO) C127b authorization for the Vector Premium seat, following Vector Economy in 2016. Adding Vector to the Airbus catalog will expedite the process for airline customers to select the platform.

Doug Rasmussen, president and group director of HAECO Cabin Solutions, which is a division of HAECO Americas, said: “With Vector, HAECO has developed a true platform-based product, which shares many parts and features between the economy and premium versions of the seat. Adding line-fit offerability demonstrates the trust Airbus has placed in HAECO Cabin Solutions to deliver this seat platform to line-fit customers with tighter lead times.”

In April 2017 Airbus also selected HAECO Cabin Solutions as its supplier for the line-fit Centerline Ceiling Stowage (CCS) compartment option for the A320 family. The option is also available as a retrofit for newer in-service A320 family aircraft which have the ‘Enhanced Cabin’. The CCS is now offered to Airbus customers through its catalogs.
