Recaro Aircraft Seating has announced that Luxair has selected the R2 seat from the Embraer Seller Furnished Equipment (SFE) catalogue for its new E2 aircraft being delivered later this year.
For over 20 years, Embraer showcased only one supplier in its SFE catalogue. In 2023 Recaro and Embraer joined forces to develop a seating catalogue specifically for E1 and E2 aircraft, which includes both the R1 and R2 seats. The Luxair order marks the first award for Recaro based on the Embraer SFE catalogue.
Luxair has opted for the R2 seat comfort package, which includes a six-way adjustable headrest with integrated neck support and additional cushion, tablet holder, and the Astronics Ultralite Generation 2 USB-C 60W in-seat power system. Aircraft delivery is projected for November 2025, with an entry into service in December 2025.
