HAECO Xiamen has completed the cabin reconfigurations on the third of 10 Virgin Atlantic Airbus A330-300s planned for such work in 2017. The 12-month project involves C4 checks in parallel with reconfiguration of the business class section of the airline’s A330-300 fleet, replacing the 1-2-1 arrangement with the 1-1-1 setup as found on its Dreamliners.

Phil Wardlaw, VP of engineering & maintenance at Virgin Atlantic, said, “Over the next year we will refit all 10 of our Airbus A330-300 Upper Class cabins to offer customers a more consistent experience across the fleet. We have worked really well with HAECO Xiamen on other projects including the refurbishment of our Boeing 747-400 fleet, and we are pleased to be working with the team once more on the refurbishment of our A330-300s.”
