American Airlines is launching a new range of limited-edition Raven + Lily amenity kits, which will be available to customers in its premium cabins later this month.

Raven + Lily, a manufacturer of ethically sourced leather goods based in Austin, Texas, is known for its designs that are crafted in collaboration with women artisans across the globe. The reusable amenity kits will include items such as eye masks and socks, as well as skincare products from celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas, whose signature is natural, plant-based formulas.

Different kit designs will be offered in the premium cabins on select international and transcontinental flights:

  • Flagship First and Flagship Suite Preferred seats: A navy blue crossbody bag inspired by Raven + Lily’s best-selling Yami Backpack, featuring a hand-stitched kantha zigzag detail and a removable strap, making it perfect for travel and daily use.
  • Flagship Business and Flagship Suite seats: A powder blue and navy pouch with a removable wristlet strap finished with kantha-stitching – ideal for organising travel essentials on the go.
  • Premium Economy: A structured magnetic leather pouch in navy or orange, designed to double as a sunglasses case.

Joanna Vargas is known for her plant-based skincare products and her client list of many famous Hollywood faces. Each kit will include a selection of her travel essentials, including hand and body lotion and moisturising lip balm, formulated to hydrate and refresh throughout a flight.

Upgraded comfort essentials

These limited-edition Raven + Lily kits will also contain a few other small luxuries:

  • Flagship First and Flagship Suite Preferred seats: Premium oshibori towel, upgraded oversized eye mask, and crew socks
  • Flagship Business and Flagship Suite seats: Refreshing towelette, upgraded eye mask, and crew socks
  • Premium Economy: Microfibre cleaning cloth for glasses and devices
Premium Economy guests receive a structured magnetic leather pouch in navy or orange, which can also be used as a sunglasses case

“These amenity kits are more than just a travel essential – they’re an elevated part of the journey,” said Heather Garboden, American’s chief customer officer. “Our partnership with Raven + Lily allowed us to bring beautifully designed, purpose-driven bags on board that customers will enjoy in the air and on the ground. From the quality of the materials, to the curated skincare and comfort items inside, every detail was chosen with intention and care. This is part of our larger commitment to delivering a premium and comfortable experience for our customers – and we’re just getting started.”
