September 28, 2016 – MRO service provider, SR Technics, has received base maintenance approval from the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA), which acts on behalf of EASA, to begin offering a range of cabin modifications services for B777 customers at Zurich Airport, further expanding its service capabilities.

Following the approval, starting in October the SR Technics Center of Excellence will offer major turnkey cabin modifications and embodiment projects for the B777 and base maintenance support. Refurbishments will be handled by using an upgraded line that is focused entirely on cabin modifications work, with dedicated processes and teams of trained experts, minimizing ground time.

“Getting approval for B777 maintenance and cabin modifications is part of a broader strategy to continuously enhance our capabilities,” said Michael Sattler, head of aircraft services at SR Technics. “There is a clear need on the market for B777 cabin work.”
