Aircraft humidity control systems specialist, CTT Systems, has received a retrofit order from Eurowings for its Zonal Drying systems, to be fitted to 25 Airbus A319 aircraft.

“By installing this weight-saving system, we will improve the fuel efficiency and lower the CO2 emissions of our A319 aircraft,” stated Ivan Savov, from the operational excellence and fuel efficiency department at Eurowings. “We are pleased with the Zonal Drying system’s test results. During a 12-month trial in one of our A319 aircraft, we weighed the aircraft, which made it possible to measure and quantify the positive effect from the significant reduction of trapped condensate water.”
