David Ropper is now vice president of business development for AJW Group's North American region

AJW Group, an independent aircraft component parts, repair, and supply chain solutions provider, has announced the appointment of David Ropper as vice president of business development for the North American region.

Ropper has held several roles with OEMs and lessors, including 13 years at the aerospace giant, BAE Systems, and five years at Elix Aviaton, an aviation asset management company and regional aircraft lessor, making him an experienced consultant within the aviation industry. At AJW Group he will apply his expertise to foster customer connections and elevate the AJW brand and its range of services. In particular he will spearhead the company’s strategic business growth throughout North America, particularly in relation to promoting the capabilities of AJW Technique, its state-of-the-art MRO facility, based in Montreal, Canada.

AJW Technique serves as the central hub for AJW Group’s component maintenance, repair, and overhaul services, collaborating directly with airline customers to enhance component reliability, optimise time on-wing, and minimise direct maintenance costs. AJW Technique also has facilities in the UK.

Commenting on this appointment, Scott Symington, chief commercial officer of AJW Group, stated, “We are delighted to welcome David as the new vice president of business development for North America. With his extensive background in leasing and sales within the aviation industry, we are confident that he will not only drive our business development goals but also cultivate and strengthen our customer relationships.”
