STAG to slash bulkhead delivery times


June 15, 2015 – At Paris Air Show, the STAG Group announced that from Q3 2015 it will cut lead times for cabin interior bulkheads from eight weeks to next-day delivery for standard products, and under two weeks for bespoke bulkheads with customer-specified trim. According to the company, it has made the investment necessary for these short delivery times in response to companies requiring quick turnaround MRO activity.

Commenting on the development, Rick Crosby, unit director for the STAG Group said: “As part of a market review we looked at a large number of bulkhead designs from the major airlines, and the results have led to the introduction of an innovative design of generic bulkhead with selectable options including monitors, bassinet seat fittings, escape path lighting tubes, posy vases and tie backs. To reduce the lead-time of these products we have put a number of bulkheads into stock for next-day delivery, which can be supplied certified and shipped direct to your facility.”

RACEPrint branding can also be used on the bulkheads, which is a process that penetrates the plastic by up to 0.25mm giving a tamperproof and easy-to-clean surface. Green bulkheads can be supplied with design data and test samples at LOPA level for approval.
