Two aviation mirror products launched

November 17, 2015 – AviationGlass & Technology, a Dutch company specialized in glass products for the aviation industry, has launched two new products, the AeroGlass Panel Mirror and AeroGlass Lighting Mirror.

The AeroGlass Panel Mirror is chemically tempered with a composite backing stacked on honeycomb. The use of Velcro strips for mounting minimizes installation time, while the design is claimed to be 22% lighter than polycarbonate/plastic alternatives set on honeycomb.

The AeroGlass Lighting Mirror has a translucent coating, which, when combined with lighting components, is claimed by the company to provide an enhanced reflection quality compared to polycarbonate equivalents. Both the mirror products have passed all required burn and impact tests as well as thermal shock and pencil hardness tests.

John Rietveldt, AviationGlass & Technology’s CEO, said, “Our new AeroGlass Lighting Mirror uses a unique, innovative technique that delivers a translucent effect enabling light beams to be reflected through the mirror itself. Passengers and aircraft owners will definitely ‘see the difference’.”
