The first Airbus A321LR has been delivered to launch customer Arkia Israeli Airlines. With a range of 4,000 nautical miles (7,400km), Airbus says the aircraft offers long-haul capabilities not previously offered by a single-aisle aircraft.

Airbus also says a new cabin configuration enables airlines to create more spacious cabins for passengers, with premium products, resulting in comfort more akin to wide-body types. Arkia’s A321LR aircraft will have a single-class layout with 220 seats.

The A321LR is derived from the A321 family, which has accumulated more than 6,100 orders from 100 customers since 2010.
