Engineering expansion reflects seating success for HAECO Cabin Solutions

Having won “numerous” customers for its Vector Premium and Vector Economy seats, HAECO Cabin Solutions is expanding its seating engineering and product development facilities in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina. The company anticipates taking on many new engineers early in the first quarter of 2019, expanding its engineering staff by 20%.

It was announced in June 2018 that HAECO Cabin Solutions had earned Airbus approval to join the A350 line-fit catalog, and the process of offering Vector Economy on the A320 had begun. Several airline’s aircraft are being fitted with Vector seating. New customers have chosen HAECO Cabin Solutions for Boeing and Airbus single- and twin-aisle aircraft.

“The Vector platform is proving to be incredibly popular as a versatile product that offers both maximum comfort for the passenger and low cost of ownership for our customers,” said Doug Rasmussen, president and group director of HAECO Cabin Solutions.

“Those features, combined with our unique ability to provide in-house engineering, design, manufacturing, certification and installation as a single-source supplier, on a truncated timeframe, have contributed to faster growth in our business than initially anticipated.”
