As of July 2019, MicroMo Electronics has been reorganised as Faulhaber MicroMo LLC, becoming a fully integrated part of the Faulhaber Drive Systems division of the Faulhaber Group, with a focus on precision drives. According to Faulhaber Group, the restructuring represents the realisation of the long-term vision of the late owner of the company, Dr Fritz Faulhaber Jr, and serves to strengthen Faulhaber MicroMo’s position in precision miniature motion systems in the North American market.
Dr Faulhaber’s vision of a family-owned single corporate entity was carried through by his widow, Ping Faulhaber, who served as president of MicroMo. Faulhaber MicroMo remains under family ownership, including Ping Faulhaber, as a 100% subsidiary of Faulhaber Drive Systems, headquartered in Schönaich near Stuttgart, Germany.
“The name Faulhaber MicroMo is well chosen for a family company because it honours important elements of both of the founders’ legacies” says the new CEO of Faulhaber MicroMo LLC, Karl Faulhaber. He is the grandson of the founders of both MicroMo Electronics. and Faulhaber Drive Systems.
Faulhaber MicroMo intends to enhance operations in the North American market by utilising the engineering, design and project management capabilities of Faulhaber.
