Amenity kits celebrate 80 years of Icelandair

0

March 2, 2017 – In 1937, Flugfélag Akureyrar was founded on the north coast of Iceland. 80 years later, and since rebranded to Icelandair, the national carrier is celebrating its birthday with new amenity kits, to be introduced from spring 2017.

The airline has collaborated with Skysupply to create kits – in the form of branded tin boxes – that evoke the stunning nature of Iceland, for its Saga Class customers. There are four different kits to collect, each featuring different facets of the country’s rugged geography, which will contain dental items, earplugs, socks, an eye mask, and a collection of cosmetic items (hand cream, mineral moisturizer cream and lip balm).

The contents create another local reference, as they have been sourced from the exclusive Blue Lagoon Iceland cosmetics company, which creates products with ingredients such as silica, mineral salt, and algae, all sourced from Iceland’s Blue Lagoon.
