EASA approves Anuvu’s in-house STC for Airbus connectivity

0

Anuvu has obtained an EASA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the installation of its Airconnect Global Ku inflight connectivity (IFC) system on board Turkish Airlines’ Airbus A321 fleet. The STC allows Anuvu to install core components of the system on board the A321, and to incorporate server and wireless access point parts.

Anuvu’s connectivity system has already been installed on more than 1,000 aircraft worldwide, including on Turkish Airlines’ Boeing 737 aircraft, but for the A321 STC the company faced a few challenges during the process, due to the restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic. Mike Pigott, Anuvu’s EVP for connectivity expressed his relief at the final approval: “The joint effort of Anuvu, Profen [supplier of the ground teleport infrastructure], and our partners at Turkish Airlines and Turkish Technic is a testament to how high-performing teams can overcome obstacles.”
