February 26, 2016 – Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS), has partnered with Panasonic Avionics to introduce inflight connectivity and a new user interface design on its fleet of nine Boeing 777-300s, including global inflight wi-fi and 3G phone services. All the systems are being line-fitted at the OEM.

SWISS is also introducing Panasonic’s eXcite2 software to its IFE systems, which brings in enhanced touch-screen performance with faster navigation and response, 3D effects and animation, as well as more dynamic graphics and richer content. According to Panasonic, eXcite2 allows SWISS to easily brand its own content, which can be used to create uniformity across both in-seat monitors and synchronized passengers’ own personal devices.
