November 24, 2016 – Turkish Airlines has invested in new technologies to enhance its IFE offer. The first addition is noise-cancelling headphones for business class passengers on America-bound flights, developed in cooperation with Denon, an audio and home entertainment system manufacturer. According to Denon, the headphones minimize 99% of ambient noise.

The airline has also introduced Samsung Galaxy S2 tablets for business class passengers who do not have seatback IFE screens. On flights lasting more than 2 ½ hours, crew will offer the use of a tablet for watching movies or playing games.

The carrier has also updated its mobile app so passengers can add flights, reissue tickets, cancel reservations, add infant passengers and upgrade from economy to business class. Passengers are also able to use many of the previous services, such as ticketing, reservation and check-in. The app’s new features will offer tips and ideas for travelers, including maps of the world’s major airport terminals, and driving directions to them.
