Train for slide emergencies in safety

August 2, 2017 – EDM, a provider of training simulators, has launched a Virtual Slide Trainer. The trainer provides cabin crew with virtual slide deployment training for safety and emergency procedures (SEPs), reducing the cost and time associated with physical slide deployment training.

The trainer incorporates high-definition projectors to display animated CGI of various slide deployment scenarios, which include full and part inflation of the slide. The tool is intended to augment the training provided through the use of simulators equipped with actual training slides.
