Aircraft seating manufacturer, Acro has unveiled the production version of its Series 6LC fixed-back economy class seat. The 6LC is designed as a minimalist, lightweight and low-cost seat for the Airbus A319, A320 and A321. Acro is also looking at developing a version for twin-aisle aircraft.
The Series 6LC features a pre-reclined fixed back, with an upper literature pocket, sliding table and lightweight armrests. All these design choices, with minimal complexity and moving parts, allow it to come in at under 9kg per PAX and with a PAX width of 17in for window and aisle seats, or 18in for middle seats. Additional options include comfort seat covers from Tapis, a crew step, lower literature pocket and USB type A and C provisioning.
Acro has stated that it has secured a major American low-cost carrier as a launch customer for Series 6LC and will be announcing this collaboration in the coming weeks.
