Following HK Express’s first-ever order of seats from Recaro Aircraft Seating – a contract for more than 4,000 seats – passengers will be able to try them out from April 2023. HK Express, part of the Cathay Pacific Group, is a Hong Kong-based low-cost carrier that serves the Asia-Pacific region with a fleet of 27 Airbus A320 Family aircraft.

The airline is retrofitting its fleet with the SL3710 model, the lightest seat in Recaro’s portfolio, which is customised for HK Express with a custom-made artificial leather dress cover and an advertising frame on the backrest.

“The SL3710 is a great fit for HK Express because of its lightweight structure and ergonomic design,” said Dr Mark Hiller, CEO of Recaro Aircraft Seating and Recaro Holding. “Our strong relationship with the Cathay Pacific Group paved the way for this opportunity, and I am looking forward to this strong new partnership with HK Express.”
