TSI’s Royalux seat wins design award

TSI Seats has received the best design award in the Aircraft Seat category at Design Et Al’s ‘International Yacht & Aviation Awards’. The Turkey-based company won with its Royalux seat, designed to be suitable for both narrowbody business class and widebody premium economy class.

Royalux is set for official launch in 2022. For the design TSI placed particular emphasis on passenger comfort, in terms of ergonomics, cushioning, optimum recline angle and the mechanical structure. The seat designers worked to maximise passenger living space and increase privacy, and to integrate device charging points (including wireless charging) and in-seat ambient lighting, all as standard.

TSI also considered the needs of maintenance teams and airlines, with the platform enabling carriers to select ‘standard’ or ‘premium’ versions of Royalux based on their specific fleet needs, with the majority of components being common across the range.
