Aftermarket scratch panes developed for Boeing 737 sidewalls

Jetglow Aircraft Refurbishments has been working with its Part 21J design partner, Aerospace Engineering Solutions, to develop Boeing 737 aftermarket scratch panes for cabin sidewall panels. The panels are available for release on a Form 1 under Jetglow’s Part 21G approval and will be manufactured in the UK.

The scratch pane is a CS25.853-compliant protective screen that prevents airline passengers from touching the pressurised window, a sensitive and difficult to replace part of an aircraft. Andrew Dolby, director of Aerospace Engineering Solutions, says that the joint development project with the Jetglow team took several months, and the panes are now available to buy as an aftermarket product.
