Domestic Qantas flyers in for a treat with new Perth lounge

August 26, 2015 – Qantas Business and Platinum class customers, and its Platinum One Frequent Flyers, traveling from Western Australia can now enjoy the new Qantas domestic business lounge at Perth Airport. Designed by renowned Australian architects Woods Bagot, the new lounge boasts 50% more space than the previous lounge, with more than 350 seats.

Woods Bagot incorporated regional design influences and materials from around Western Australia, using a color palette based on the Western Australian landscape including the coastal areas of the South West, Matilda Bay and Broome.

The lounge features distinct zones to work, relax or dine, whether traveling solo or with a group. Waiting for a flight won’t be a chore with a large dine-in bar with sports shown on the TVs, while news and Foxtel programs will be shown on the eight large TV screens throughout the lounge. For those looking to freshen up, the space also offers full shower and toilet facilities.

These pampered flyers won’t go hungry, with a pizza bar, a wine bar, a buffet area, a ‘make your own’ fresh juice station in the mornings, a ‘dish of the day’ at the high-table communal dining area, and a daily cocktail hour from 4-5pm.

And if you absolutely must work, the business facilities include a dedicated work zone with communal work tables with power and data outlets, wi-fi, a meeting room and wireless printing.
