Icelandair cabins to take on a Blu hue

April 5, 2017 – Icelandair has selected STG Aerospace’s saf-Tglo blu photoluminescent floorpath marking system for its new fleet of Boeing 737 MAX 8 and MAX 9 aircraft.

Since its launch at the end of 2016, saf-Tglo Blu has gained FAA and EASA approval across the majority of Boeing, Airbus and Embraer aircraft types and been retrofitted with several major airlines, including “one of the world’s largest low-cost carriers” as well as “a major Boeing 777 operator”, according to STG.  Furthermore, STG Aerospace says that the system is soon to be added to the options catalog for major OEM programs.

Icelandair has already installed STG Aerospace’s green-glowing SSUL system across its Boeing 757 and 767 fleets, and it will install this latest evolution of saf-Tglo on its new fleet, due to enter service at the end of 2017.
