Having equipped its A330 and B777 fleets with OnAir connectivity services, Saudia is now turning its attention to its B787 fleet, which will complete the installation program for its long-haul fleet.
The first of Saudia’s eight B787 Dreamliner is due for delivery in December 2015. The airline has reported a 400% increase in mobile data usage and a 254% increase in internet usage over the last 12 months. The aircraft will be equipped with a Thales TopConnect solution, enabling access to OnAir’s wi-fi Internet and mobile phone services over Inmarsat SwiftBroadband.
