United Airlines extends Gategroup catering deal

January 15, 2016 – Gategroup Holding AG has reached an agreement with United Airlines for the extension of its catering and provisioning contracts, bringing the estimated total revenue over the life of the agreements to in excess of CHF 500 million (US$499 million).

The multi-year award involves contract expiration dates spread over five years and covers multiple international gateway locations, including major hubs at Washington Dulles and San Francisco, as well as other locations such as Amsterdam, San Diego and Sydney.

“Gategroup is delighted to have reached this agreement through its continued partnership with United Airlines, focused on providing best-in-class service. Renewing contracts for two of the major hubs provides a solid base for our North American operation. We thank United Airlines for their continued trust in our operational excellence and service quality,” said Xavier Rossinyol, Gategroup CEO.
