Cathay Pacific Group has awarded a contract to manage the travel retail program of its Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon airlines to Retail inMotion, LSG Group’s onboard retail brand. Under the terms of the deal, beginning in early 2020, Retail inMotion will assume full management of the airlines’ boutique and duty-free onboard-retail program, working in partnership with the airlines to improve the customer offer as well as delivering financial returns.
The scope of the contract includes retail services ranging from product sourcing and management to warehousing and distribution, crew training and engagement, catalogue design and customer service. The retail services will be enabled by Vector In-Flight, the company’s proprietary onboard-retail platform, which supports front-end devices for payment processing and fulfilment, as well as the back-end systems for reconciliation, inventory and warehouse management, and reporting functionality.
