Marilake increases galley equipment repair capabilities

Marilake Aerosystems, an independent avionics and instrument repair workshop based in Dorset, UK has expanded its galley equipment repair offering, following the company’s move into a larger premises.

Gerry Griffiths, managing director of the company stated, “Following significant interest from our existing customer base, Marilake decided to expand its in-house capabilities to include galley equipment repairs.

“We had already planned late in 2019 to move to larger premises within the Peartree Business Centre Complex and it made perfect sense to incorporate the additional equipment and facilities required as part of the move. We started offering repairs to a small number of galley inserts for a major customer, but demand for our services has increased and new part numbers have been added in response.”

The company intends to continually add to the number of part numbers and units covered as demand dictates, with brands such as Driessen, Sell, Zodiac, B/E Aerospace, Britax, and Rumbold included. While Marilake uses OEM-approved test equipment, wherever possible, its in-house resources are used to manufacture simulators and shop aids to maximise efficiency, minimise costs and achieve fast turn-times.
