Cabinair Services, a UK-based service provider specialising in aircraft interior design, refurbishment and repair, has announced the acquisition of a majority shareholding in AeroKnow SIA, a Latvia-based aviation engineering and design house specialising in consultancy, design, certification, procurement and project management. The combined entity will operate under the Cabinair Services brand.

Cabinair Services holds EASA Part 145, FAR Part 145 and TCCA CAR 573 approvals, and the acquisition will enhance its capabilities by integrating AeroKnow’s EASA Part 21J Design Organization Approval (DOA) and EASA Part 21G Production Organization Approval (POA).

Cabinair expects that AeroKnow’s experience in repairs and modifications of aircraft components, as well as its ability to design and manufacture aviation parts, will enhance its customer offerings.

Key benefits of the acquisition include an enhanced service portfolio, as the merger will combine Cabinair Services’ capabilities in aircraft interior design, refurbishment and repair with AeroKnow’s engineering proficiency.

Another benefit will be increased technical capabilities, as AeroKnow’s EASA certifications will enable Cabinair Services to provide enhanced engineering support and expand its range of services to include more complex repairs and modifications.

The acquisition will also enable Cabinair Services to extend its reach in the European and Asian markets, leveraging AeroKnow’s established presence and relationships within the aviation industry.

AeroKnow’s current operations will continue as usual, and Cabinair expects the integration process will be seamless, ensuring uninterrupted service for existing clients.
