CabinSpace LIVE Seminar Theater agenda announced

Visitors to Aircraft Interiors Expo in Boston (AIX) will be interested in the agenda for the CabinSpace LIVE Seminar Theater

If you’re planning to visit Aircraft Interiors Expo in Boston (AIX), you will be interested in the agenda for the CabinSpace LIVE Seminar Theater, which has just been announced.

The CabinSpace event will take place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center on September 25-26 (the Expo runs from September 25-27), with a theme of implementing innovation in the cabin interior. The audience will be invited to share experiences relating to product developments, methodologies and materials to create the best onboard interior solutions.

CabinSpace LIVE Speakers announced so far include: Chris Buckner, on board product team, Delta Air Lines; Antonio Ficca, director of product marketing, commercial aircraft, Bombardier; Scott Savian, EVP of ZEO, Zodiac Aerospace;René Dankwerth, general manager, Recaro Aircraft Seating; Nigel Duncan, board director, STG Aerospace; Hank Scott, founder and CEO of Molon Labe Seating; Kevin McBrayer, director of sales at Delta Engineering; Sarah Helmondollar, senior program manager, AAR; and Dallas Nagle, cabin compliance UM, ODA administrator, Delta Engineering; .

Trends to be explored at CabinSpace LIVE include: 

Certification & compliance: designing for regulations 

Delving into best practice design, this session looks at the product journey, from the drawing board, through to development and finally placement on the aircraft. Looking at the place of compliance and regulation in the process, the audience will hear from experts about how to overcome challenges associated with regulation in the most time and cost-effective ways. Senior program managers from AAR will share their experiences designing for regulation.

This session takes place on Tuesday September 25 from 11:00am -11:45am

New manufacturing technologies – capitalizing on 3D printing capabilities

Keeping costs low whilst exploring new technologies has long been an issue for the aviation industry. This session will explore how manufacturing capabilities such as 3D printing are enabling innovative aircraft interiors products and parts, without increasing costs. From differentiating your business in a crowded market, to after-life use of printed parts, this session explores how to maximize the benefits of investing in 3D printing.

This session takes place on Tuesday September 25 from 15:15-16:00

Spatial dynamics

Bringing together a panel of industry-leading experts, this keynote discussion on spatial dynamics looks at how to maximize cabin space and make it work for passengers, operational staff and crew alike. From balancing overhead bin space with headroom and ensuring innovative technology meets passengers’ ergonomic needs, spokespeople from airlines, OEMs and seating companies discuss space and its use inflight.

This session takes place on Tuesday September 25 from 14:00-15:00

Organized by Reed Exhibitions, Aircraft Interiors Expo Boston is the sister event to AIX Hamburg. The event is strategically co-located with Airlines Passenger Experience Expo (APEX Expo) and International Flight Services Association Expo (IFSA EXPO), enabling airlines and companies from across the supply chain to meet and network.
