Cabin technology company, digEcor has partnered with Jamco Aero Design and Engineering (JADE). The aim of the partnership is to apply JADE’s structural, electrical and systems engineering design expertise so that digEcor’s cabin technology products can be efficiently retrofitted to aircraft in the Asia Pacific region.

David Withers, digEcor’s chief executive, sees the benefit of having a modification expert on board as a partner. “JADE is a strong player in the Asia Pacific region and has years of Airbus and Boeing aircraft cabin modification and engineering services experience.”

The deal may help digEcor secure additional customers for its single-source integrated IFE solution. The company’s portfolio of modular integrated flight experience solutions includes embedded and portable IFE, USB and 110V power, LED cabin lighting, passenger services, cabin management, tape replacement, crew applications and content services.

“Our first project together will see us retrofitting a B777 aircraft with digEcor’s Passenger Services Solution. The modular and integrated solution is not only cost effective for the airline, but ergonomic and easy to use for passengers,” stated Withers.
