Aircraft interiors and aerospace supply chain specialist STAG Group has acquired Bristol, UK-based Race Completions. STAG says that the purchase extends the group’s Cabin Interiors Division’s capabilities into design, manufacture and repair services for both the budget carrier and VIP cabin interiors markets.

STAG Group intends to make investments into the company that will support aircraft interiors development innovations to help bring new lightweight products to market. As Rick Crosby, former MD of Race Completions who now holds the position of unit director, commented, “I believe there is huge opportunity to replace the phenolic composites traditionally used in cabin interiors with vacuum-formed plastic units: this will not only save weight and cost, but open up new and exciting design possibilities. The STAG Group will provide the necessary investment to exploit this and other advancements for the cabin interiors industry.”
