US air ticket sales show signs of recovery

Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC), a USA-based air travel intelligence company, has released data showing that ARC-accredited travel agencies experienced a 69% month-over-month increase in net sales from April to May 2020. Net sales are clearly down, but ARC states that the upward trend could indicate preliminary signs of air travel recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Month over month, ARC’s May 2020 results also found that there was a 67% increase in the number of passenger trips; and that US domestic trips went up by 85%, and international trips by 30%.
