American Airlines brings in special Stand Up To Cancer kits for fall travel season

Over the next few weeks, as American Airlines enters the fall/autumn travel season, customers in its long-haul premium cabins will be given new limited-edition amenity kits that highlight the airline’s longstanding fundraising campaign with Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), the charitable cancer research programme of the Entertainment Industry Foundation.

In addition to featuring a QR code that gives customers an opportunity to donate to the SU2C campaign, the kits introduce customers to designer and skincare brands that have not been offered by American Airlines before. The airline has collaborated with sustainable fashion brand Raven + Lily and the SU2C team to create the unique design of the kits. Featuring SU2C’s brand colours of red, orange, yellow and black, along with the organisation’s logo, the kits are a standout item that customers will use well beyond their flight.

The kits in Flagship First Class contain skincare products including Pholk facial mist, and lip balm and a towelette from Macabalm

Customers in Flagship business and premium economy cabins will receive Pholk Beauty hand lotion and Macabalm lip balm in their kits, while customers in Flagship First will receive hand lotion and facial mist from Pholk Beauty, and lip balm and a towelette from Macabalm.

These exclusive products have been chosen in response to a growing trend of travellers wishing to do inflight skincare routines to hydrate and nourish their skin.

Customers in Flagship business class will receive Pholk Beauty hand lotion and Macabalm lip balm

The Pholk hand lotion featured in all kits is a vegan, lightweight lotion that hydrates and smooths the skin. Customers flying in Flagship First Class can take their inflight skincare a step further by using the Pholk facial mist, which is hydrating, soothing and rich in Vitamin C. The maker, Pholk Beauty, is a Black woman-owned beauty brand launched in 2019, which works with Black farmers across the Southern US, Africa and the Caribbean.

All the kits, including the premium economy kits, have been designed in collaboration with sustainable fashion brand Raven + Lily ,and the SU2C team

The Macabalm lip balm featured in all kits can be used to hydrate lips, soften hands and cuticles, eliminate dryness, tame eyebrows, highlight cheekbones and temples, soothe irritations, and protect the skin barrier thanks to ingredients such as shea butter, rosehip and jojoba. Macabalm is a female-founded and Australian-made brand specialising in natural organic skincare.
