Etihad Airways brings in Armani and ESPA amenities

Etihad Airways has launched a new collection of amenity kits and loungewear created in partnership with two luxury brands: the Giorgio Armani design house, and the ESPA wellbeing brand. The amenities will be progressively rolled out on flights from the end of February, and there will be something for everyone, in every travel class.

The Residence and First class

Starting with First Class, where the most luxury is expected (especially in The Residence, the three-room private suite in the airline’s A380s), guests will be given a co-branded Giorgio Armani and Etihad folio bag, which is one of the largest amenity kits of any airline. The bag will be available in four colours, suitable for use post-flight to carry documents, tablets or even a 13in laptop.

The large bag comes packed with goodies from ESPA, including Hydrating Spa Face Mist, Nourishing Lip Treatment, Restful Pulse Point Oil to aid relaxation in flight, a generously sized Rest and Recovery Night Balm, and Rejuvenating Hand and Body lotion. As well as these refreshing products, the kits include eyeshades, ear plugs and a dental kit.

And the treats keep coming. The Residence and First class guests are also given co-branded Giorgio Armani and Etihad loungewear and slippers, also presented in a large Giorgio Armani folio bag.

The charcoal loungewear is soft to the touch, anti-wrinkle, and features a Henley neckline and a tonal print inspired by the Abu Dhabi skyline. The Giorgio Armani slippers in a matching tonal print have a plush faux fur inner sole for additional comfort. All perfect for relaxing and sleeping, both while flying and post-flight.

What to wear in Etihad first class? Armani of course!

Business class

Guests in Business class on long-haul flights of over nine hours will be offered a loungewear set inspired by Emirati dress, including the traditional Emirati ‘V’ stitching on the chest, which is unique to the UAE’s national dress. Plush slippers complement the set.

They will also receive Giorgio Armani branded amenity kits, available in two styles: a clutch bag or a cube. The unisex clutch bag features ‘The Dunes’, a contemporary print design drawing inspiration from the rolling sands of the Liwa desert in Abu Dhabi.

Regular Etihad flyers can collect a range of colours

Meanwhile the cube bag features a geometric shape for easy packing and organisation in trolley bags, suitcases or wardrobe drawers at home. Following the flight, the bags can be used to store small tech products, cables or personal items.

With travel wellbeing in mind, the Business class kits are filled with luxury ESPA skincare products, including Nourishing Lip Treatment, Hydrating Spa Face Mist and Rejuvenating Hand and Body Lotion, alongside gifts including plush slippers, an eyeshade, earplugs and a dental kit. The amenities are being supplied by Buzz.

ESPA will also provide luxury skincare products for the premium cabin washrooms

Economy tote bags

In Economy class, guests on flights longer than six hours are given a tote bag containing inflight essentials, including gifts of Beekman hand cream, an eyeshade, and ear plugs. The branded tote bag is a useful gift for carrying excess items or future shopping.

The tote comes in three collectible designs featuring the tailfin designs of Etihad’s aircraft livery, including the Greenliner and Manchester City special liveries.

Each bag, supplied by Kaelis, is made from a 500ml PET bottle rescued from landfill. Packing the inflight amenities in the reusable bag also removes further single-use plastics that would normally be used to pack the items individually.
